Stacie’s lens is focused using honesty, sincerity reflecting her journalism background, and compliment symbiotically Kevin’s self-depreciating, often hilarious prose, reflecting years of searching and curiosity itching.

Siem Reap, Cambodia – The dark streets of Siem Reap were surprisingly alive at 445 a.m. as we peddled our rusty, Pee Wee Herman bikes to the glorious Temples of Angkor, just north of town. We arrived to see the skies lighten over the majestic Angkor Wat temple, the crown jewel of the Temples of Angkor. A delightful road-tale in which we follow a couple as they forge their way across half the world – discovering the delights of new discoveries as well as a sea of vicissitudes.
What sets this book apart from others is the wit in the story-telling, and the sharp observation. The way in which the people they meet along the way, and the characteristics of the nations they travel through is described – including their own reactions to the bizarre situations they frequently find themselves in – is laced with such skilful humour, that the book is a joy to read.
This was such a fun book. Interesting how it was written from both perspectives. The authors many times experienced the same thing but had an entirely different view of the event. It was a fun, enlightening book and I really enjoyed.
We had just traveled much the same path these kids took. Very reassuring that we had almost the same reactions! Cute story, oh to be young again!
